At this time of the year, I’m guessing you’re gearing up to celebrate the festive season. And for the first time in a long time, we can look forward to celebrating without restrictions.
If you know anything about me at all, it’s that I love to celebrate – always with food! My debut cookbook “Pink Gin and Fairy Cakes”, was largely about parties and celebrations for kids, and the back-up meals that could then be served to large crowds of parents with sticky bums, when the kids had all but wiped out the snacks, cakes and canapés. Full of useful, easy-to-follow, family recipes, I’m told by many happy customers that it’s their most used cookbook. By the time I’d reached 230 pages and just over 100 recipes, I knew it was time to stop … and the Christmas chapter hadn’t even made it in yet!
So while I’d convinced myself that I would probably only ever write one recipe book, deep down I knew I had unfinished business, and a whole lot of celebration food in me that I wanted to share. So here it is.
“Celebrations” is what I’ve been working hard at for most of the year, and what you can attribute my lack of blogging to! (The upside is that I now have some stock to draw from and I’ll be sharing super Christmas recipes with you this season).
That said, “Celebrations” doesn’t start and end with Christmas. The other chapters include summer party food; seaside holiday favourites; family occasion meals; and Easter, Halloween & Heritage Day themes. It’s definitely a recipe book that you can use for any occasion and will make the perfect gift this Christmas. Get in touch to get your copy!
